What If I Start my New Job?

As stated above, once you begin a new job, all employees should complete an entirely new form W-4. This will not affect the amount of your wage that you pay to Social Security or Medicare. These are fixed sums.

Employers will still send you a payment even if you don’t fill out an official W-4. However, they will deduct income tax at the highest rate for single filers with no other adjustments.
